A snake accidentally got cut in a saw. Burned with rage, turned back, and bit down hard on the saw's teeth. Instead, the sharp teeth pierced its mouth, blood flowing everywhere. Under the pain, it felt it had been gravely provoked, so it completely erupted, using all its strength to wrap its body tightly around the saw, trying to strangle the saw to death.
The harder it squeezed, the deeper the teeth sank in.
In the end, its body was completely severed by the blade.
This is what psychology calls the "wild horse effect." The cause may be nothing more than a tiny wound, but what ultimately leads to destruction is the excessive emotional reaction you create because of that wound.
That snake died without ever understanding that what killed it was never the motionless saw, but its own uncontrollable emotions. You have no choice but to learn to understand and control your emotions, or you become the self that keeps hurting itself in anger, sadness, anxiety, and despair.
Every day, I talk to guys get stuck in pain triggered by a woman. They keep dwelling on it without realizing what it's costing them.
They try to fix the wrong problem. They wanna kill the saw.
Dealing with attractive women who have options requires tools most guys don't know how to use. A few of these include complete control over your anger, neediness, and anxious attachment, as well as your willingness to walk away. You cannot convince her to like you, but you can regulate your emotions, influence hers, build, and keep attraction.
I've had many failures and successes with women. The latest success reports point to the same approach: Don't argue, don't latch on her, master your anxiety, and understand emotional addiction and anxious attachment. Many guys are numb to these words because they are deep in pain.
Much of the reaction come from attachment. The problem is not her. Or the relationship. It's the lack of options and the desperate-lack learned mindset. It's a sort of dogma. It's invisible and it kills slowly. Read the protocols. You have access to it.
